Biography
Early Life
Jesus was born in Bethlehem and grew up in Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. The Gospels describe his birth as the fulfillment of Israel’s hope and introduce him as the promised Messiah.
Ministry and Teaching
After John baptized him in the Jordan, Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God. He taught through parables, welcomed people at the margins, healed the sick, fed crowds, and called disciples. His teaching presents him as the Good Shepherd who knows and cares for his people.
Death and Resurrection
Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem. The Gospels proclaim that he rose from the dead and appeared to his disciples, commissioning them to carry his teaching to the nations.
Life Lessons for Today
Jesus’ life joins compassion with courage: he served, spoke truth, welcomed the overlooked, and called his followers to love God and neighbor. The resurrection is the central Christian claim of hope beyond death.
