Biography

Early Life

Sarai, later called Sarah, left Ur with Abram, traveled to Canaan and Egypt, and shared the hardships of a nomadic household while awaiting God's promise of offspring.

Defining Biblical Moments

God promised aged Sarah a son; she laughed at the announcement but later bore Isaac. Her story includes the painful Hagar episode and her protection in Pharaoh's and Abimelech's courts. She died at 127 and was buried in the cave of Machpelah.

Strengths

Sarah is remembered for hospitality, eventual trust in God's impossible promise, and her role as matriarch of the covenant family.

Weaknesses & Lessons

Her plan to build a family through Hagar and her harsh treatment of Hagar afterward caused lasting family pain, showing how impatience can create deeper wounds.

Life Lessons for Today

God can bring joy and fulfillment after long waiting; laughter of doubt can become laughter of wonder when promises are kept.
